The University of Arizona has selected the team of GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. and Shepley Bulfinch to design the $20M addition and renovation to the College of Pharmacy Skaggs Building.  The project will provide the College with both new and renovated state-of-the-art research facilities to ensure its growth and capacity to adapt to the dynamic and changing fields in pharmaceutical sciences.  The project is based on a 2015 Conceptual Master Plan Updated Study, prepared by GLHN.  Work includes a two-story addition to the existing building totaling approximately 19,000 GSF of new research lab, support and office space.  Existing building renovations will include approximately 12,000 GSF of lab, support and office space.  GLHN will serve as Architect and Engineer of Record and Shepley Bulfinch will be Design Architect.  The team also includes local consultants Martin, White & Griffis Structural Engineers and McGann & Associates Landscape Architects.

GLHN has worked with the University of Arizona on major projects since the firm was founded over 50 years ago.  Most recently, GLHN served as Architect and Engineer of Record for the University’s Environment and Natural Resources 2 (ENR2) project located on 6th Street.
