who we are
We often hear “what does GLHN mean?” Those are the letters – Grigsby, Lynch, Harwell and Nelson – our foundering namesakes, who took over the firm in the 80s. We are an integrated architecture and engineering collaborative spanning across multiple disciplines. Our in-house Civil, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Engineers work right alongside our Architects in the same space, fostering deep collaboration across all offices and projects.
GLHN Architects & Engineers opened its doors in Tucson, Arizona in 1963, adding a Phoenix office in 2014. Our One Firm, Two Cities mantra is the backbone of all that we do – our teams are in constant collaboration across all disciplines and offices. As an employee-owned firm, we have worked to maintain an active and engaged employee culture. At GLHN, we believe that our success comes from helping others succeed. The work we do and the culture we live is deeply rooted in our three pillars – Community Impact, Innovation and Client-Centric Service.
Our staff will tell you we are a little quirky – and we do some quirky projects! We’re all hardworking professionals, but we are people too. Balance is important and we believe that it shouldn’t be a chore to get up and go to work in the morning – we love what we do and we want you to, too!
