GLHN assisted with infrastructure upgrades to support renovation of the Marroney Theater.

GLHN played a critical role in the phased implementation of the University of Arizona Arts Master Plan, focusing on HVAC system upgrades to support the modernization of the Arts District.
As part of a Design-Build partnership with CORE and RSP, GLHN provided expertise in upgrading the 40+ year-old HVAC system serving the Marroney Theater. These improvements were essential to enhance the theater’s infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient climate control to support the University’s arts programming.
This $4.5M project also marked a continuation of the University of Arizona’s Arts and Theater improvements, including the Arts Alley renovation, which modernized and beautified the primary Arts Complex entrance. Enhancements included reworking the Olive Road stairway, adding a digital kiosk, and creating an ad hoc performance area and stage. The Arts Alley now serves as an inviting space for passers-by to engage with the College’s culture, shows, events, and activities, further enriching the campus experience.
This project was completed in multiple phases to accommodate the University’s accelerated timeline. GLHN collaborated with the team to deliver three GMP packages, successfully navigating procurement challenges and meeting the project’s goals.
