Pima County unveiled the new Kino Sports Park South Complex at a ribbon cutting and celebration held on January 15, 2020.  The new 167 acre expansion features 12 lighted natural grass fields for soccer, football, rugby, lacrosse and other sports and 20 pickle ball courts. A concession stand, ticket booth, and parking for 700 vehicles are also part of the new facility.  GLHN provided mechanical and plumbing design, electrical systems design, and civil engineering to prime consultant McGann and Associates.  Civil engineering design was a key component of the project to ensure that the competition quality grass fields drained properly.  Local dignitaries at the event included Ramon Valadez, Chuck Huckleberry, and Richard Elias.  It is hoped that future phases of the complex will include a hotel, restaurants, and perhaps even, a water park.
