50th Anniversary!! At the 2013 Annual Open House GLHN celebrated 50 years in business. In 2001 the Leadership of GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc., looking to the future decided to become an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) where the employees would become the owners of GLHN. The ESOP plan was established in 2001 and by 2008 the Trust owned 100% of the stock purchased from David, Roger, and Bill. January 1998 GLHN purchased our own building at 2939 E. Broadway Blvd. (Broadway & Country Club) putting GLHN on the Sunshine Mile. The two story building provided ample space for our multi-discipline professionals to collaborate and grow.
In 1984, Irvin Finical retired leaving Leon sole owner. Four years later, in 1988, Leon Dombrowski retired. At that time Bill Nelson, mechanical engineer, having worked for the firm since 1970 found partners, David Grigsby, architect, John Lynch, civil engineer, and Roger Harwell, electrical engineer, and purchased Leon’s shares. In 1991 Finical and Dombrowski became GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. and moved to a new location at Campbell Plaza.
GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. was founded in October of 1963 by Leon Dombrowski, a mechanical engineer, and Irvin Finical, an architect. The company, Finical and Dombrowski, Architects and Engineers, Inc. They started the company with two projects from Davis Monthan Air Force base and a residence project.
