Exciting Changes in Leadership
Transition. Transformation. Alternation. Development. Switch or shift. Whatever you call it, change is inevitable and bittersweet. GLHN announces the retirement of Henry Johnstone, PE, as President and Cloriza Lomeli, Associate Director of Business Development.
Henry joined GLHN in 1988 as a mechanical engineer and developed an expertise in campus utility systems and building heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems that engaged clients from Alaska to Oman to Columbia. Starting as a junior designer, he went on to lead our multi-discipline firm as President beginning in 2014 after holding the roles of Director of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Department Manager. Henry would “like to thank my co-workers, colleagues, clients, and contractors for their patience and support. It has been a great collaboration.” Henry plans to continue working on concepts and projects within the nexus of energy and water consumption.
Cloriza has worked at GLHN for 32 years in a variety of roles from Special Project Administrator for Department of Veterans Affairs projects to Construction Administration for utility infrastructure work. As Associate Director of Business Development, she built enduring relationships with clients and business partners throughout the higher education sector. Cloriza shared that “GLHN has been a great family. I’m grateful for the many opportunities and rich experiences, the great relationships built with our clients. I loved being a part of the challenge, the approach of our magnificent talent, and the results and successes.” Cloriza is looking forward to spending more time with her family, including her six grandsons.
As we close the chapter on Henry and Cloriza’s leadership, GLHN starts a new chapter with the elevation of two of its own. Robert Lamb, PE will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and Tiffany Gorrell will serve as the Director of Business Development +Marketing.
Rob joined GLHN in 2013 as Chief Operations Officer. He has led business development initiatives and built relationships with clients all over the world. He is stepping into the CEO position to grow the firm through new strategic initiatives. Rob is excited about the new path and shared “throughout the history of GLHN, it is clear that our success has been built on the talent and dedication of people. ‘Our success comes from helping others succeed’ is not just a catchphrase – but a recognition of a foundational truth in our business.”
With more than 25 years of industry marketing experience, Tiffany will lead business development and marketing efforts including internal and external communication and strategy. She has been with the firm for seven years, previously as senior marketing coordinator, where she managed the proposal process and directed a series of campaigns. “My goal is to honor and maintain the amazing relationships Cloriza built over the last 30 years while developing new connections that will help us expand into a regional firm.
Let’s connect.
