The Grand Opening of the Dignity Health Huger Mercy Living Center Activity Room was held in Phoenix on October 30, 2019. GLHN Healthcare Studio team members Russ Combs and Brian Hagedon were on hand to celebrate along with Vanir and Iconic Design Studios. A much needed addition to the campus, the activity room provides a large, flexible space that will host a variety of daily activities while also providing a festive environment for special events. As Huger Mercy is a closed campus, security and controlled access were important considerations that were carefully included into the open and welcoming facility. Working closely with Dignity Health and Iconic Design’s Kelli Berry, GLHN designed the 4,000 SF building to fit within an existing courtyard, providing architectural and engineering services as well as construction administration.
