Smoke Masters Serve up Delicious Meal at Tri-University Symposium

Attendees of the Tri-University Best Practices Symposium held at Northern Arizona University were treated to a special meal prepared by Bill Koller of GLHN and Jason Vincent, owner of Omega Tool and Mold.  Bill brought his custom smoker to Thorpe Park, and after a minor debate with the Flagstaff Parks and Recreation Department, smoking began 9:30 am and continued throughout the day.  The menu included prime rib, salmon, and twice-smoked potatoes and accompanied by an assortment of local beers including Historic Brewing, Mother Road Brewing, and Dark Sky Brewing.  The guests, representing Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University enjoyed a hot meal under the park’s only covered ramada during a lively monsoon rain.
