NAU broke ground last week on the new $53 million, 122,000 SF Science and Health Building. The project will be a premier science teaching facility with an open and flexible research platform, including both research and teaching laboratories for chemistry, biology, and health sciences. It was designed using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and uses the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method; it will seek LEED Silver certification. The project is a GLHN/richärd+bauer Joint Venture. Mortensen Construction is the general contractor.
