Lab expansion to accommodate advanced technology imagining equipment with space for researchers and technicians.

GLHN provided engineering services for the renovation of a SEM/TEM Suite in the basement of Kuiper Space Sciences Building. Work began with a review of technical criteria of the imaging equipment identified in the laboratory design program. A field survey of existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure was performed to establish potential points of connection for the proposed research equipment along with ancillary air conditioning, lighting and power. Our work also included assessment of existing plumbing systems to identify water, waste and vent capacity in the vicinity of a proposed restroom. MEP designs were coordinated with architectural plans and maintenance requirements.
