GLHN Presents RMA Webinar: Campus Utility System Preparedness Planning

GLHN facilitated a webinar on February 28, 2012 for Rocky Mountain APPA (RMA) entitled Campus Utility System Preparedness Planning in collaboration with the University of Arizona and 2013 RMA president Chris Kopach.  Henry Johnstone, PE, Ted Moeller, PE, and John McGann, PE (GLHN Directors of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering, respectively) led the one-hour webinar aimed at how to understand campus utility system reliability from an engineering perspective and prepare a set of contingency plans to enable on-going operation through unplanned system disruptions caused by utility failures, outages, accidents, and forces of nature.  GLHN’s expertise comes from four decades of campus planning and trouble-shooting experience at over three dozen higher educational campuses.  GLHN also performed hurricane preparedness studies at twenty-one coastal Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center locations and assisted the VA in authoring its Physical Security Design Manual.

GLHN has been involved in RMA and APPA for almost two decades and often speaks at regional and national conferences.
