A team of GLHN sustainability experts presented at the U.S. Green Building Council AZ Lunch + LEED program held at the Environment and Natural Resources 2 building on the UA campus. Henry Johnstone, PE, Stanley Yellowhair, LEED-AP, BESA, and Joyce Kelly, LEED BD+C discussed the LEED Platinum building as a case study for sustainability. The team reviewed the LEED goals and scorecard, energy systems and strategies, modeling and metering, and year one energy performance results. Additionally, opportunities to improve and lessons learned were discussed with the highly engaged audience. “As lighting controls designer, I was delighted to see lights off everywhere there was adequate daylight,” said Joyce Kelly following her presentation.
