GLHN is excited to announce the creation of a new Technology Engineering Department. The new department will focus on design of low voltage systems to include data, telecommunications, audio/visual, fire protection, and security. The Technology Engineering Department will enhance the firm’s capabilities as an integrated total design entity, adding to its capabilities in architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and civil engineering and in-house specializations in commissioning, lighting design, and energy engineering. The new department is led by Paul Norine who joined the firm in 2011 bringing over 20 years of telecommunications project management experience and the distinction of having served as the Technology Project Director for both the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta and the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. The new department already has a dedicated staff of five including two Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) and is engaged in an $8 million Information Technology systems Upgrade project for the Amphitheater Unified School District in Tucson, estimated $78 million Pima County Consolidated Courts Complex in Tucson, and $6 million University of Arizona Medical Center Emergency Room Renovation for the University of Arizona Health Network.
