GLHN is an employee-owned firm established in 1963 and has a professional staff of over 60. Staff includes LEED Accredited Professionals in all disciplines, Registered Communications Distribution Designers, Certified Energy Managers, Building Energy Simulation Analysts, Certified Commissioning Authorities and Technicians, and a Lighting Certified designer.

GLHN is guided by the principle that our success comes from helping others succeed and our philosophy on success fosters long-term client relationships. GLHN has worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs continuously since 1975 and has completed projects at over 120 VA Medical Centers nationwide. GLHN has also worked for nearly two dozen higher educational institutions, developing innovative campus carbon reduction programs.
GLHN excels at utility master planning, design of central plants and underground utility distribution systems, complex multi-phased renovation projects, medical and laboratory facilities, fleet vehicle maintenance facilities, security and communications systems, and enhanced systems commissioning.

GLHN follows industry standards for sustainable design practices. In 2010, the GLHN office was awarded LEED-EB Gold by the USGBC; it was the first building in Southern Arizona to be certified LEED for Existing Buildings. GLHN employs Building Information Modeling (BIM), Bluebeam, and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) technologies.
