GLHN Associate Director of Business Development, Cloriza Lomeli, is now a Qualified Trainer and is authorized to deliver the APPA Supervisor’s Toolkit to facilities professionals throughout the United States and Canada. The Supervisor’s Toolkit provides guidelines to higher educational facilities officers for developing a systematic approach toward organizing, managing, motivating, and meeting customer expectations. The Toolkit gives courses on administering policy and procedures, effective communication skills, developing relationships, staff motivation, and leadership. Congratulations Cloriza!
In 2010, Mrs. Lomeli was elected to the Rocky Mountain Association (RMA) Board of Directors at the association’s annual convention. The Rocky Mountain Region of APPA, the national association for educational facilities management, stretches from Northwest Territory, Canada to Arizona. Mrs. Lomeli has been an active Business Partner in the organization for over 10 years. Her responsibilities on the board include recruiting and representing Business Partners throughout the region and presenting technical training topics and current trends in the higher educational market to enhance RMA’s educational conferences. She is the first non-institutional member elected to the board in the 56-year history of the organization.
